history of FBC Frisco began way back when Frisco was only a one horse train stop town. The deed for the church property was given in 1902, after local ministers gathered with the town folk of Frisco for the purpose of organizing a Baptist Church.
The meeting ended that August 13th, 1902 with a new pastor, church officers, and a unanimous confession stating “the brethren and sisters being satisfied with each other and believing it to be the Lord’s will and for the advancement” began the church, and motioned to name it The First Baptist Church of Frisco.
Throughout the years the group of believers, called “the First Baptist Church,” have moved to various buildings, with our most recent move being the FBC face on the Main Street of Frisco.
We have been placed in the midst of a growing city and we retain our original goal of reaching out and being a blessing to the community.
Pastor Chuck Martin joined the church in 2002 and has consistently led our congregation to become relevant in our contemporary culture.
First Baptist Frisco has sought to keep in step with the growing trends of our neighbors, while remaining uncompromising in our presentation of the Word of God as the only authority for the Christian life.
History is still being written here at FBC Frisco as each new Christ-Follower impacts others, and as the Lord continues to form us as effective ministers for His kingdom.
