Worship Services
From our Adult Worship Choir, two full praise bands that play every week, Drama Team, Student Choir, Senior Adult Choir, Preschool and Children's choirs, two Adult Ensembles and wonderful technical team, there are a tremendous number of ways to get involved in this eternally impacting ministry. Come and join us as we surrender all we are and lead the people of First Baptist Church in the worship of the eternal God of the universe.
Our primary goal is not to just provide music for services and special events, but to lead the people of First Baptist Church in true, whole-hearted worship of God. When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was, He responded in Mark 12 with "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." In this passage, Jesus teaches us that worship is not about singing songs; rather it is about giving true devotion to God in all areas of our life. This includes every emotion (our "heart"), every eternal desire (our "soul"), every thought (our "mind") and in every physical action (our "strength"). This is so much more than singing songs! The music and worship ministries at First Baptist strive to teach people to become lead worshippers, not just lead musicians and vocalists.

Worship Choir
Our Worship Choir is a group of people who love the Lord, love to sing, and are excited about being lead worshippers in our church. Our rehearsals include times of worship, devotion and prayer in addition to practical vocal coaching and music training. In addition to their ministry on Sunday mornings, the Adult choir also does seasonal musicals. Guests are welcome any week to join at rehearsal. |
Worship Band
We currently have two full worship bands that alternate Sundays in leading our congregation in worship. These modern-styled bands include rhythm instruments (drums, guitars, etc.) and keyboard instruments. We are excited about our modern worship style at First Baptist and these cutting edge bands are a blessing to hear each week. |
Technical Team
Our technical teams play a very important role in enabling the church to see and hear what is being communicated each Sunday. We have volunteer positions in the areas of sound, video direction, camera operation and lighting. Some of these positions require a good deal of background in the area, while others can be learned with a little bit of training. |
Student Worship Ministry
Student Worship Ministry includes our student choir – a choir like no other. Most of the songs we sing are based on popular worship choruses and all of the songs we sing are easy enough for the beginner and yet challenging enough for all of us! This is not a traditional choir. Our Student Worship Ministry also includes our Student Drama team and our Student Worship band. |
EZ Rockers (Senior Adult Choir)
The EZ Rockers are a fun group of Senior Adults who enjoy singing and being together in order to spread the gospel through song and encourage the church and community. We sing periodically on Sunday mornings and regularly in community nursing homes, retirement centers, and the like. We rehearse on Mondays at 5:00 pm during the school year. |
